In 2015, the Intercontinental Hotel of the National Convention and Exhibition Center cooperated with Fulton again, installing three RBB-1250 pressurized hot water boilers for hot water supply. The boilers have been operating reliably, earning recognition as a model boiler room in Shanghai. In 2019, a low-nitrogen retrofit was performed to meet local environmental standards. Due to the unique central reverse-flow combustion design of the RBB boiler, Fulton's FGR low-nitrogen burner was adopted. Post-retrofit testing showed NOx emissions at 75% boiler load were as low as 19 mg/m3, demonstrating excellent retrofit performance.
The RBB hot water boiler features a reverse-flow, fully wet-back design, improving thermal efficiency and reducing emissions. By increasing the furnace volume and enhancing heat exchange, it lowers the furnace outlet temperature, improving both efficiency and environmental performance. The boiler’s integrated design with the burner results in superior thermal efficiency and low nitrogen oxide emissions. The reliable performance of Fulton boilers supports the high standards for hot water supply at the Intercontinental Hotel, ensuring long-term cooperation with Fulton.
